Teaching Considerations

¨ Teachers may pursue the possibility of adding access to web-based or network based programs to enhance instruction by completing the “Additional Technology Request” which will go to the technology team for consideration.  Please allow 10 school days for processing.

¨ Teachers will have the right to install additional approved software on student machines for classroom use.  Examples of these programs include “I-Calc” and “Geogebra”. 

¨ Teachers will have access to student folders.  Teachers may add files to student folders.

¨ Teachers will not be able to delete student files saved on the network servers.

¨ Use of SmartSync® is encouraged.  This program will enable our teachers to:

             View student work during class.

             Lock computers in their classroom.

             Allow students to view the teacher’s computer desktop from their own.

             Allow students to view a classmate’s computer desktop from their own.
